Phala Phala court case postponed to 28 May

The case of the three accused that were linked to the break-in and theft at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala-Phala farm in 2020 has been postponed to May 28 for a regional court date to be set.

Imanuwela David, and siblings, Froliana Joseph and David Joseph, appeared in the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 26 April.

They were arrested in 2023 and face charges of break-in, theft, and money laundering. The Joseph siblings were released on bail in November 2023. Imanuwela will remain in custody after his bail was denied in December 2023.

Police investigations are ongoing as they are waiting for the extradition of two Namibian nationals in connection with the case.
