The movie continues to prove that indeed “local is lekker”

The locally produced film, which reached the R5 million mark only 10 days after its release, has once again reached a milestone in just 30 days.  Happiness is a Four-letter Word surpassed all anticipations after it was announced today that this romantic drama past R10 million at the South African Box Office and it’s still expected to do more.

Director Thabang Moleya says: “This is remarkable news to hear. It’s a dream for any filmmaker to make a movie but for the audience to respond in this manner is an affirmation to the industry as a whole that cinema in this country is alive”.

The film, which is about three career women in search of true love in the ‘city of gold’ – Johannesburg,  is currently the second best performing film at Ster Kinekor and is 5th in overall rankings.
