WATCH: Somizi doesn’t queue for Starbucks

Metro FM radio host and SA Idols judge Somizi Mhlongo had his first local Starbucks experience on Wednesday at the branch in Rosebank. The Living the Dream with Somizi reality star admitted to only having tried Starbucks on his international trips before. His eager self walked into the coffee house after having been stopped for photos with his (ahem) Caucasian fan base, proving his nonracial crossover status is not hyped.

Mhlongo then walked in to take a seat inside Starbucks to talk to your truly. When told about the procedure of placing an order, he was happy to follow suit, but the manager was having none of it.

The boss personally came to take the order from the dance start and even recommended he try a new flavour (lol, Somizi didn’t really like it, but I thought it was amazing! To each their own, eh?).

The staff told us he was the first person they’d seen placing his order from the comfort of his seat. Now that’s living the dream.
