AKA, Bonang get You Spectacular ‘Favourite Couple’ nod
The couple were lucky enough to get nominated for just being in love, but they go up against each other in the Social Media Star category.
It’s that time of the year again where our celebrities get recognised for their work and the role they play in their fans’ lives. You Magazine on Friday announced nominees for their annual You Spectacular awards, with the mega couple, Kiernan Forbes and Bonang Matheba, getting a nomination for just being in love and making sure the world knows it.
You Spectacular awards have finally noticed that South Africans always find a reason to laugh, even in serious situations, and so what better way to acknowledge this other than adding the Favourite Comedian category?
The category seeks to honour those people who did not hold back and kept Mzansi laughing, with Tumi Morake obviously getting a nomination after, in addition to her stand-up comedy, all the facial expressions and silly questions she taunted poor brides with on Our Perfect Wedding. Morake goes against Trevor Gumbi, Deep Fried Man, Celeste Ntuli and Schalk Bezuidenhout.
Voting is open until midnight on Sunday, July 10. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg on July 16.
