Despite this, she has approached her healing with diligence.
The actress’ fans were worried earlier this month when she revealed that she was in “excruciating pain”. Simphiwe lost her husband, Dumi, in August after being married for only a few months. Although she’s worked hard to recover and move on with her life, you could tell she was still in a tough place when she wrote:
“It’s been 3months since I lost my husband. 3 months of sleepless nights, trauma, anxiety attacks, crying uncontrollably, anger, excruciating pain, loneliness, denial, bargaining and a lot of unanswered questions that leave me paralysed with fear. (sic)”
This week, however, she sounds like she is in much higher spirits, if her most recent Instagram post is anything to go by. Simphiwe wrote with determination that she has every intention of “picking up the pieces” of her life.
“Starting over‚ rising again‚ picking up the pieces is what I’m good at. Time to get up‚ dust myself up and start walking‚”
We are absolutely thrilled to see that Simphiwe is slowly finding her confidence again. Grief is never easy to deal with, but through consistent effort, you learn to recover.
We’re rooting for you, Simz!
