Mandoza’s 40th birthday to be celebrated with the release of new music

In celebration of what would have been Mandoza’s 40th birthday, his widow Mpho Tshabalala has decided to release some of his music.

According to Tshisa Live, the single entitled Back For More will be made available on music streaming platforms on 17 January.

Mpho told the publication that this track is one of many, which has not been heard before, that will be released in the course of the year.

“For now we are just saying this is the introduction of his unreleased material. His body is gone but his soul is coming back for more in the music industry. We are also releasing exclusive T-shirts, having partnered with a clothing brand.

“As time goes we will be releasing a full clothing line, but for now we just starting with the T-shirts for his birthday,” she said.

This September will mark two years since Mandoza died after a battle with cancer.

Mpho said Mandoza loved spending his birthday at home with their kids, and it’s a tradition she will uphold. She added that now that she’s in a better emotional space, she wants to celebrate the man that he was.

“This time it’s more of a celebration, we’ve completed the grieving period. We will never forget him, but now we will focus on how God gave us such a great man. He was truly a great man,” Mpho said.
