AKA ‘might soon be signed to Mabala Noise’
He has reportedly been in talks with the record label 'for some time' and could be signing a contract by the end of the week.

Kiernan “AKA” Forbes is reportedly planning to leave his record label, Vth Season, after being with them for years.
In a report by Daily Sun, Mabala Noise Entertainment could be the All Eyes On Me hitmaker’s next home, according to sources who spoke to the tabloid.
He has reportedly been in talks with the record label “for some time” and could be signing a contract by the end of the week. So far, it has only been verbal agreements as Vth Season and Mabala have been in discussions about the amount of money to buy him out of his current contract.
Speaking to the tabloid, he reportedly laughed off the rumours, saying there was no truth in it, that he was “still very much” with his label but wished he were signed with Mabala.
The record label, owned by national treasurer of the ANC Youth League Reggie (ANCYL) Nkabinde, made headlines earlier this month after EFF leader Julius Malema made claims that it had paid its artists an amount of R5 million each. This after signing artists such as Riky Rick, Khanyi Mbau and Nasty C.

The label’s move received a lot of criticism, with most on Twitter questioning where the money came from.
AKA, however, expressed his disappointment at the criticism, saying he had expected people to be happy with the opportunity for artists to revitalise and advance their careers.
“People say they want our artists to shine, to advance their careers. Then when it starts happening, they don’t like it. It’s quite strange.”

Riky Rick also came out in support of his label, telling Malema to stop lying to the people about the R5 million. He said people should not believe the “lies” because he worked hard to get where he was.
He further lashed out at people for believing everything they heard, and said that since he signed with Mabala Noise and Malema’s claims, there were rappers who had been calling the company asking for a deal – “Niggaz are so quick to follow,” he said. Could one of these rappers have been AKA?
