Bonang and AKA’s mom put ugly past behind them, take pic together
Bonang Matheba and AKA’s mother seem to be on good terms, despite reports in the past that suggested otherwise.
Queen B and Lynne Forbes were pictured all smiles at a baby shower for publicist Melanie Ramjee.
While neither women posted a picture from the baby shower of them together, an image has surfaced online of the two special women in AKA’s life.
Bonang and her cousin Tebogo ‘Pinky Girl’ Mekgwe are seen posing for a picture with Lynne – who is sandwiched between them.
The picture was posted on Pinky Girl’s Instagram account, and it has since been deleted – but not before social media users took a screenshot of the rare public sighting of the two women together.
It’s unclear why she removed the picture.
Lynne has a close relationship with AKA’s ex DJ Zinhle, and once described her as being like a daughter.
The pair continued their close relationship after the couple’s break-up, with AKA slamming their bond on Twitter.
He claimed in a 2016 Twitter rant that his mother had a better relationship with DJ Zinhle than with her own son.
Lynne was known to stay at Zinhle’s home for days while watching the former couple’s daughter Kairo.
“Zinhle has never tried to turn me against my son… not once. She has always encouraged me to have a relationship with Bonang,” Lynne tweeted in May 2016. The post has since been deleted.
While a number of pictures of Zinhle and Lynne can be found online, hardly any of her and Bonang exist.
But thanks to Pinky Girl we now have proof that Lynne and Bonang have a friendly relationship at the very least – despite her love for DJ Zinhle.
