Drake dressed by Calvin Klein for new tour

Calvin Klein has created three custom-made looks for Drake to wear during his upcoming US tour.

Calvin Klein is designing Drake’s tour costumes.

The fashion house has created three bespoke looks for the rapper to wear during his upcoming ‘Would you like a tour?’ US shows, which will see him perform in 39 cities.

Italo Zucchelli, men’s creative director at Calvin Klein, explained to WWD: “I love Drake – he is very talented and I like his effortless attitude in terms of his style and music.”

The collaboration apparently came about when Drake – full name, Aubrey Drake Graham – revealed his love for the ready-to-wear brand at their spring/summer 2013 show afterparty.

The first look is based on a print from Calvin Klein’s blue skies spring collection, the second fashion-forward look boasts reflective neon details, and the third is head-to-toe denim.

The ‘Take Care’ hitmaker’s three capsule collections will be in keeping with his casual sportswear style and feature bomber jackets, hoodies, T-shirts, tank tops and trousers.

This comes after more and more stars are choosing top end designers to create their stage wardrobe. Rihanna’s 2012 ‘777’ tour saw her take to the stage in outfits by Alexander Wang and Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, while Beyonce strutted her stuff in custom-made DSquared2 and Kanye West’s ‘Yeezus’ tour style comes courtesy of Maison Martin Margiela.
