Nasty C dodges death in serious crash

Nasty C was on his way to a gig when a 'drunk' driver drove into the rapper's door side of the car.

Popular rapper Nsikayesizwe David Ngcobo, better known by his stage name Nasty C, was on Friday night involved in a horrific accident. Judging from the pictures Nasty C posted on Instagram, he sure is lucky to be alive. He said on Instagram that he made it out of the accident without a scratch.

Nasty C was on his way to a gig when the accident happened. Zyne Marcus, one of the other people in the car, posted on Facebook: “We were involved in a serious accident to our 1st gig, thankfully we’re ok we all had on seat belts, it’s almost an hour now and no police in sight but drive a few blocks down and you will probably get pulled over and shaken down for a 50…”

The Hell Naw hitmaker also took to Twitter to explain what happened, saying the other driver was drunk and drove “straight onto my door side and knocked our car off the road”.

“Thank God I’m not too cool for a seatbelt,” he tweeted.

Nasty C is one of the youngest rising stars in the SA hip-hop music scene, with Hell Naw getting a lot of recognition from his fans, even a remix from DJ Euphonik. We’re glad he is okay.

Here are some of his tweets:

Last week on Sunday, it was Ntombezinhle “DJ Zinhle” Jiyane who was in what she called a “terrible” accident. Taking to Twitter, she thanked the Durban metro police for being “incredibly helpful”, making sure she got home safely.

Zinhle also shared with her fans that she was fine. MaJiyane, who celebrated her daughter’s birthday last week, had been in KwaZulu-Natal on the Durban July weekend and also played at Eyadini Lounge, along with Heavy K and Oskido, among others.
