What are the changes introduced to this year’s awards?

According to Manuela Dias De Deus, the brainchild of the awards, they have added a variety of new categories based on popular demand.

“All nominees will be selected by a panel of judges. The judges will score the entries and the top five entries will become the nominees in that category.

“Once the five nominees in each category have been announced, some of those categories will open to the public for voting, which will garner huge reach,” said Manuela.

Kim Jayde, one of the winners of the 2022 DStv Content Creator Awards said winning the Fashion & Style award felt like a true accomplishment! “I’ve never dressed like everyone else, or wanted to,” she said.

“I’ve expressed myself through clothes, crazy sneakers and working with the best local designers in the country.

“This award celebrated me for truly being MYSELF! What a beautiful message to send to a world that can sometimes feel so lonely if you are a little bit different.

“I’m so grateful to the team and the judges that gave this award to me – allow the world to celebrate your unique & fabulous self,” said Jayde in a statement announcing that entries for the 2023 awards are now open.
