Pallance the new S’bu on Rhythm City

Former Isibaya actor Pallance Dladla will be taking over the role of S’bu Vilakazi on soapie Rhythm City.

Dladla will be replacing Lungile Radu, who played the charming, energetic son of Miles Vilakazi since the soapie’s inception in 2009.

“It has been a pleasure working with Lungile Radu. We wish him well in his future endeavours. We also welcome Pallance to the family and we are confident that the viewers will love him. Sbu’s character is at the heart of the storyline and is loved by many loyal Rhythm City viewers,” said Group Head: e.tv Channels Division, Monde Twala said in a statement on its website.

Dladla has expressed his excitement about the move. “I’m very excited about the journey I’m about to embark on with the actors that I’ll be working with. At the same time, I’m also curious about the storyline. I aim to bring a voice for the young men out there who are trying to stand on their own two feet.”

Pallance, who has previously acted in award winning dramas such as e.tv’s 4 Play: Sex Tips For Girls and various stage productions, will make his debut on 29 July.

Catch all the drama on Rhythm City weekdays at 6.30PM and the omnibus on Saturdays from 9:30AM.
