Butternut soup, rice, cabbage and pea soup were the meal of the day.
Beneficiaries enjoyed their containers of soup and even pizza.
John Proctor, the new head of the soup kitchen, welcomed the donations and encouraged the community to continue to show their support for the kitchen.

“I hope our relations with Delia will continue to benefit us all in the future,” said Proctor.
Proctor highlighted that numerous people depend on the soup kitchen that kicks off its daily food preparations at 07:00.
Pringle, representing Motus Toyota Bedfordview Toyota Knights, said one is required to put to bed a certain number of sales and also do charity work throughout the year to become a knight.
“I have been a knight for the past five years and I plan to remain one.
I have been involved with several charity organisations in the area including the SAVF, Ithemba Soup Kitchen and Solheim Old Age Home,” said Pringle.

“I live in Sunnyridgem hence I support most of the local charities around me,” she said.
On Friday she donated pizzas to the Ithemba Soup Kitchen, which were handed over to the beneficiaries.
“A customer gave me pizzas so I donated. I also volunteered my time to help in the kitchen and hand out food,” said Pringle.
“I have worked with the soup kitchen since 2019,” she said.
