Race to Equality will commemorate International Women’s Day on March 10

The event is presented by the Motsepe Foundation and ASA in association with the City of Johannesburg and Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) based in Germiston.

The Race to Equality event will return to mark the International Women’s Day commemorations on March 10.

The event is presented by the Motsepe Foundation and ASA in association with the City of Johannesburg and Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) based in Germiston.

Following a successful maiden year, the Race to Equality returns to its original offering of 21.1km, but now incorporating the ASA 10km championships and 5km competitions and will be held at Marks Park Sports Club.

Entries have opened online and the registration forms can be accessed.

The half marathon will start at 07:00 while the ASA 10km championships, which is by invitation only through an ASA province, will take off at 07.30.

The start time for the 5km is 07.45.

For the 10km event, runners can only compete in the ASA Championships if selected and entered by a provincial body.

Race number collection is set for Marks Park Sports Club and scheduled for March 8 from 09:00 to 17:00 and March 9 from 09:00 to 16:00.
