Crime never takes a break

Another busy week for Primrose police.

Primrose police arrested 71 suspects from September 9 to 15.

The arrests included various charges, including assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, assault common, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, house-breaking, interfering with police duties, intimidation, driving under the influence, possession of dagga, rape, possession of suspected stolen property, trespassing, theft, attempted murder, murder, selling liquor without a licence, unlawful possession of precious metal, shoplifting, aiding a prisoner to escape, illegal immigrants, as well being drunk and disorderly in public.

A number of suspects appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court and a number of them were released once they had paid an admission of guilt fine.

Suspects arrested on charges of being illegal immigrants were transferred to Lindela, in Krugersdorp, from where they will be deported to their respective countries.
