Numsa reaches agreement

The final weeks of the Numsa demonstrations.

The motor industry is slowly beginning to move forward, but companies cannot simply forget the damage caused during the Numsa demonstrations.

Auto and Truck Tyres Pty Ltd. reported that, during the last weeks of the demonstrations, the picketers continue to breach the court interdict served on Numsa.

Jenny Pillay, human resources manager at Auto and Truck Tyres Pty Ltd., reported that their employee, Davie Mqwapatila, was assaulted by the picketers.

“Unfortunately, the SAPS still continue to do nothing to the picketers,” she added.

The past weekend saw Numsa finally reached an agreement and call off the demonstrations by their members, after seven weeks of unrest.
