Parkhill Gardens resident Sebastian Taimo is slowly making a name for himself in the entertainment industry.
The 20-year-old entrepreneur has been chosen as one of the hosts for the inaugural East Rand Awards, set to take place in Kempton Park, on March 22.
The event aims to acknowledge top young people for the hard work they are doing in the music, television, events and local brands industries.
The awards are organised by Phaciyd SA and Sebastian is thrilled to be one of the hosts.
“I will also be presenting two of the awards, which I am excited about,” said Sebastian.
“I have been doing a lot of work as a master of ceremonies lately and this shows that my name is getting out there.”
Along with this work, Sebastian has also started his own film production company, called Prime Time Pictures, which specialises in music videos, television and photography.
“I am also working on a reality show about a group of young entrepreneurs, who team up to create a successful business empire in Johannesburg,” he said.
To add to this, Sebastian has started studying again and is currently doing a course in radio and television presenting.
“I am very happy where I am at the moment and I think furthering my studies has helped me a lot,” he said.
“I am working hard, and I feel humbled by the positive feedback I get.
“2014 promises to be a good year for me.”
