Ekurhuleni Sports Awards

City ready to announce winners of 2013 Ekurhuleni Sports Awards.

Sports stars from every corner of Ekurhuleni will shine brightly on March 14, when the city honours their excellence at the third annual Ekurhuleni Sports Awards.

Executive Mayor Clr Mondli Gungubele will celebrate the local sportsmen and women who make South Africans proud of their various disciplines, at a glittering ceremony to be held at the Birchwood Hotel and Conference Centre, in Boksburg.

Three nominees have been selected in each of the categories, and on the night the winners will be announced.

The executive mayor will also present special Mayoral Awards to individuals or teams who have contributed to the development, transformation and upliftment of standards for sport in Ekurhuleni.

The response received from sport federations, as well as members of the public, during the nomination period was tremendous.
