The Germiston SPCA recently held a successful charity luncheon fund-raiser at the Kong Sing Restaurant, in the Bedford Centre.
Laurence Kingston, manager of the SPCA, said, “We extend a huge thank you to the community for supporting this event and helping us to raise much-needed funds.
“The funds have been allocated to the newly installed kennel gates and frames, and some minor kennel floor repairs in the kennels for small adoption dogs.”
Kingston added that community members and supporters of the SPCA are always welcome to visit the kennels to see for themselves where funds raised are put to good operational use.
