Germiston South Primary School kicked off its 90th birthday celebration with a cake decorating competition and fun day. Each class was asked to decorate a cake, and the class with the best cake would win. Germiston South Primary School will celebrate its 90th birthday throughout 2014.
The school, located in Selkirk and Joubert streets, kicked of the celebrations last Thursday, March 27, with a cake decorating competition and fun day.
Each class was asked to decorate a birthday cake.
The children were then treated to a day filled with jumping castles and other fun activities.
The celebrations will continue with a May Tea, Spring Ball and school bring and braai, to name but a few.
“We are looking forward to a very exciting year,” said Lanette Frouche, principal of Germiston South Primary.
