Primrose police recently arrested three men, between the ages of 28 and 34, for selling liquor without a licence.
The arrests were made while officers were on patrol in the Makause informal settlement.
The officers travelled to a number of taverns within the settlement.
At each they asked to see the owner, and asked to see the licence allowing the tavern to sell liquor.
If the owner was unable to provide a licence the tavern was closed and the owner arrested.
The three men were arrested and taken to the Primrose Police Station.
All three later appeared in the Germiston Magistrates Court, where they each paid an admission of guilt fine before being released.
