Airline plants 118 trees at Kwanele Primary School

Cathay Pacific Airways together with Food and Trees for Africa plant trees in celebration of Arbour Month.

Plants form an important part of our everyday lives.

With this in mind, Cathay Pacific Airways decided to joined hands with Food and Trees for Africa and participate in its Trees for All tree-planting programme.

The programme forms part of the celebrations for Arbour Month.

For the past three years, Cathay Pacific Airways has partnered with Food and Trees for Africa to plant bamboo trees at disadvantaged schools during the month of September.

This year the airline planted 56 trees at Ntabeni Secondary School, in Matatiele, KZN, on September 1, and more recently a impressive 118 trees at the Kwanele Primary School, in Katlehong.

The trees were planted with the help of the school’s students on Thursday, September 4.
