Local restaurant helps animals in need

Lambton's K’s Family Restaurant recently held a fundraising event for the Germiston SPCA.

Lambton-based K’s Family Restaurant held a special fund-raising event, last Sunday.

The event aimed to collect some much-needed dog and cat food for the Germiston SPCA, while also raising some funds for the SPCA’s Christmas Cheer Fund.

The day was filled with lots of fun and prizes, with members of the SPCA’s committee joining the festivities.

The team managed to raise R1 000 and 200 items of food.

After the success of the event, the restaurant decided to continue the project for a further two weeks, to give more community members the opportunity to donate.

The community is urged to support this worthy cause by visiting K’s with a donation of tinned or dry pet food until December 18.

The restaurant is situated on the corner of Karen Avenue and Mackay Road, Lambton Gardens.

For more information contact K’s on 081 356 0360 or the Germiston SPCA on 011 825-5033.
