Katlehong police nab six

Katlehong South police’s stop-and-search operation yields results.

In a recent operation in Katlehong South, police arrested six suspects for various crimes.

The stop-and-search operation was conducted by members of the Katlehong Crime Prevention Unit.

Among the arrested were two men, charged with shoplifting in two separate incidents.

The first was a 31-year-old man, who was arrested for stealing shoe polish and the second, a 40-year-old man who was arrested for stealing five litres of Namaqua liquor.

Both men were arrested at the Sontonga Shopping Centre in Katlehong.

Other charges included theft and possession of dagga.

The accused were held at the Katlehong South Police Station, pending their appearances in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court.
