Police address crime issues in Primrose East

Door-to-door campaign warns community of Primrose East of dangerous crime trends.

Raising awareness about crime in Primrose remains a top priority for the Primrose police and Primrose Crime Prevention Youth Desk.

On Wednesday a team took to the streets of Primrose East where the number of house break-ins and thefts and robberies has steadily been on the rise.

“The door-to-door campaign aimed to sensitise the residents about the crimes happening in the area.

“We feel our residents need to know what is happening in their area,” said Sgt Styles Maome, communications officer for the Primrose police.

It has been reported that a large number of these house break-ins are taking place between 10am and 2pm.

During the visit, safety tip pamphlets were distributed and the team interacted with residents warning them about the top crimes taking place in the sector.

The team will continue to host similar operations in the hope of bringing an end to crime in the area.
