Roseacres nurses in for a treat ahead of Nurses’ Day

Life Roseacres Hospital together with the Life Healthcare Group honour nurses in celebration of International Nurses’ Day.

Life Roseacres Hospital, together with the Life Healthcare Group, will be celebrating International Nurses’ Day a day early on May 11 with the theme “Nursing Now: A Voice to Lead”.

“Our theme for International Nurses’ Day this year focuses on empowering and supporting nurses in meeting 21st-century health challenges and recognising that nurses are at the heart of many countries’ efforts to provide health for all.

“It also aims to highlight the significant role nurses play in healthcare through leading healthcare delivery, championing the delivery of evidence-based practice and remains the advocate for patients and their families,” said Henriette Pretorius, hospital manager.

Nurses at Life Roseacres Hospital are part of the 10 000 nurses across the country employed by the Life Healthcare Group, and, as such, the group aims to celebrate them for being at the heart of patient-centred care, leading nursing care and using their voice to consistently drive improved healthcare services and systems.

“We also salute our nurses for stepping up and taking the responsibility of being the champions for the delivery of evidence-based practice while influencing, moulding and inspiring future generations of nurses,” Henriette added.
