Mother desperately looking for her missing son

Theunis Petrus de Bruin was reported missing recently at the Boksburg North Police Station. He was reported missing by his mother Alet Smit, who lives in Klopper Park, and he was last seen at about 1pm in Boksburg (where he was living) on June 2.

Primrose police identify several crime trends in Primrose

The Primrose police are appealing to the community of Primrose, and their visitors, to refrain from parking their vehicles on pavements as it isn’t safe. Residents are urged to park their vehicles inside their yards or in a secure parking area.

Rand Airport Road taxi collision leaves two dead

Two people were killed and 20 others injured when two taxis collided with a truck on Rand Airport Road, last Monday. ER24 paramedics and other emergency services arrived on the scene shortly after 7am.

Update: Emergency services respond to Rand Airport Road crash

Two people were killed and 20 injured during a four-vehicle pileup on Rand Airport Road, last Monday. “At about 6.44am, a Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) rescue team and paramedics from the Germiston Central Fire Station swiftly responded to a motor vehicle accident. Two minibus taxis transporting passengers, a hatchback and a truck were all involved in the horrific crash,” said William Ntladi, district manager media liaison officer for DEMS.

Pensioner feels let down by Bertha Gxowa Hospital

A month ago Diana Kent hurt her leg getting into bed, thinking nothing of it she went to sleep, but at 7am the next morning she found herself in such pain she had to call for an ambulance. “The ambulance, with two very nice paramedics, only arrived at 11am and took me to the Bertha Gxowa Hospital,” she explained. Kent explained that she noted three doctors were on duty in the emergency and casualty ward.
