During several different stop-and-searches held in Katlehong last weekend, nine suspects were arrested.
The operations were carried out by officers from the Katlehong police’s Crime Prevention Unit.

The arrested suspects were charged with various offences.
Charges included trespassing, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of counterfeit money and the possession of drugs (including dagga).
Acting station commander for the Katlehong police Col Nomthandeki Mthembu thanked everyone involved in the arrests and encouraged them to continue their hard work.

The suspects all appeared in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court where their cases were postponed for various reasons.
The Crime Prevention Unit will continue to host similar operations in the area.
