Elsburg defeated in tough away match

Elsburg Rugby Club travelled to Vanderbijlpark to face Vanderbijlpark Rugby Club in their Kestrel League fixture, on Saturday.

The Elsburg Rugby Club continued their Kestrel League campaign on Saturday with an away match against Vanderbijlpark Rugby Club.

The tough match saw the visiting side only scoring one try, which they were unable to convert.

The home team didn’t have much luck finding the try line either but were able to win the match 8-5 when they converted their only try in the match.

Disappointed with the loss, Elsburg is hard at work preparing for their next match which will be played in Delmas against the Delmas Rugby Club on Saturday.

The team’s next home match will be played on July 28 against East Rand Police Rugby Club.

The match will be played at Elsburg’s home grounds, the Elspark Sports Complex, located on the corner of Heidelberg Road and Egret Street in Elspark.

Kick-off is at 4pm.

The club is hoping the home ground advantage will help them secure a victory, and get them back on the winning path in the Kestrel League.

The club urges all supporters, old players of the club and their families to come and enjoy the game.
