Print Exclusive: Recovering addicts speak out

Vusimuzi Mbuyisa and Daniel Mofokeng speak out on their past involving drugs, crime and bad friends.

Future Fighters Community Empowerment, a non-profit organisation founded by Bongani Ngonyama, aims to rid the streets of Dukathole of drugs and help drug addicts lead drug-free lives.

The organisation recently enrolled Vusimuzi Mbuyisa and Daniel Mofokeng at the Witpoort Life Care Centre in Brakpan, where they underwent a six-week rehabilitation programme.

As a teenager, Vusimuzi claimed to have controlled his urge to constantly smoke marijuana but everything changed when he started using nyaope.
