Learn to care for the sick with Hospice

Hospice East Rand is offering an 11-month home-based carer course to 20 learners from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

Hospice East Rand is offering an 11-month occupational certificate course as a home-based carer (National Qualifications Framework Level Three) to 20 learners from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

Candidates wishing to apply for the course must have a Grade 12 certificate and be between the ages of 19 and 25 years old.

Further requirements:

• Must have compassion, empathy and a great desire to care for the sick and their families.

• Must be completely committed to finishing the course for the stipulated period.

• Candidates must be able to transport themselves to and from the training venue in Benoni and to workplace allocations for the practical component.

• The course is suitable for learners who did not qualify for university entrance after matric.
