They educate, encourage and inspire through mentorship and coaching, using a holistic approach on spiritual, physical, mental, emotional and social intervention.

Florence Wanjiru said their role is to empower young people to be able to reach decision making with esteem consciousness.

Young people gathered at the P2P Foundation event based in Germiston.

“We want to build a generation of self-love and promote a safe space of participation,” said Wanjiru.

“We facilitate participatory inclusion spreading the model of intervention to areas such as intergenerational dialogue and awareness on social and cultural barriers and attitudes especially towards sex education.

“This kind of participation can only be achieved when the core structure of the home is in place. By so doing we engage to build stronger family bonds,” she said.

The foundation hosted an Germiston Women’s Day celebration on August 9 and invited boys and girls to be part of the event.

“As parents and nurtures we want to set a new tone that engages a boy child to become a man not feared in our communities while bridging the gap with a girl child,” said Florence.
