City of Ekurhuleni offers free swimming lessons

The free swimming lessons will continue until June 2025, offering a valuable opportunity for young learners to develop vital skills in a safe environment.

As part of its water safety programme, the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) offers free swimming lessons for learners in grades one to three.

The initiative, held at selected pools, including the Delville Swimming Pool in Germiston, aims to enhance essential swimming skills, boost confidence, and promote water safety among youth.

The free swimming lessons will continue until June 2025, offering a valuable opportunity for young learners to develop vital skills in a safe environment.

The city encouraged schools interested in the programme to reach out to the Department of Education to determine eligibility, and they will be connected to the nearest participating swimming pool.

Lessons are scheduled to take place from 10:00 to 12:00.
