Youngage Foundations NPC, sponsored by GIC Re South Africa, donated 400 educational and health packs to township schools across the City of Ekurhuleni.
The foundation reached out to Buhle Park Primary School, Thembifundo Primary School and Ekurhuleni Primary School.
Founder of Youngage Foundations, Louisa Molise, acknowledged the support given to the foundation by GIC Re South Africa and further encouraged other businesses to join the movement of empowering a child with school shoes.

Molise mentioned that every child has a right to a new pair of school shoes, applauding the efforts by associated partners and the principals of every school for their involvement and support.

GIC Re South Africa sponsored the foundation with school shoes, reading books, and hygiene and dignity packs that included toothpaste, bathing soap, a toothbrush and a face towel.
“The importance of new school shoes cannot be overstated. They are not just a necessity for children’s education; they are a basic right and necessity that can significantly impact their daily lives and academic performances,” said Molise.
“In compliance with the South African Schools Act, the inclusion of a school uniform is regarded as essential in achieving key social and educational objectives.

The donation and provision of school shoes offer learners in need durable, comfortable, and long-lasting footwear, giving them more than just protection for their feet.
Molise explains that these efforts go beyond physical support; they instil hope, build self-esteem, enhance learner motivation, and bring joy, while restoring a sense of dignity.
“Every child deserves to feel equal and to fully enjoy their school experience,” said Molise.
