“With over 3 000 entries this year, the Gauteng Open is one of the biggest lawn bowls events on the calendar."

The Gauteng Bowls president, Sanette Kritzinger, said she’s over the moon because the tournament continues to grow every year.

“With over 3 000 entries this year, the Gauteng Open is one of the biggest lawn bowls events on the calendar.

“The competition gets stronger and a quick glance at some of the entries shows that this year will have some of the fiercest competitors,” said Kritzinger.

The players will compete for the singles, pairs, mixed pairs and fours titles for the next four weekends in the competition which is sponsored by Perfect Delivery Insurance.

The organisers have rebranded the tournament to reflect the game of lawn bowls and have added a new online flipbook, coffee table book and new fashion items for on and the greens.
