Job seekers invited to apply for Ekurhuleni Public Employment Programme
The programme is aimed at people aged 18 to 35 and individuals living with disabilities to promote public employment, combat poverty, and support community livelihoods.
The CoE calls on residents to apply for temporary employment opportunities through the Ekurhuleni Public Employment Programme (EPEP).

Since its launch, the EPEP has recruited over 6 900 candidates, contributing to job creation and service delivery improvements in the region.
“The city’s commitment to addressing youth unemployment through the EPEP reflects our dedication to fostering economic development and enhancing community welfare.
“By providing temporary employment opportunities, the city empowers the youth with essential work experience, contributing to a more sustainable economic future,” said CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
Applicants must be SA citizens, reside in Ekurhuleni (with proof of residence), and be unemployed to qualify.

Applications can be submitted online via the CoE’s website, with no manual submissions accepted.
The deadline for applications is September 16.
Successful candidates will be employed for six consecutive months, gaining valuable experience and earning an income.
