Simmer and Jack Landfill closes temporarily
The CoE notifies site users and residents about the temporary closure of the Simmer and Jack Landfill until November 13.
The CoE advises its users and residents to use its other operational landfill sites – Rietfontein in Springs, Platkop along the N3 in Vosloorus and Rooikraal in Dawn Park.
Site users and residents must note that the illegal disposal of waste is a punishable offence, and anyone caught will be prosecuted.
The city will give updates when there are new developments about the site.
