Get a tax exemption by donating to Germiston SPCA

Donations, both monetary and in-kind, to the SPCA qualify for a Section 18A Tax Certificate, which allows donors to reduce their taxable income.

As the tax year draws to a close on February 28, the Germiston Bedfordview SPCA is reminding stakeholders and the community that there’s still time to make a difference for animals in need while benefiting from a tax exemption.

Donations, both monetary and in-kind, to the SPCA qualify for a Section 18A Tax Certificate, which allows donors to reduce their taxable income.

Whether you’re able to contribute cash or donate much-needed goods, your generosity can have a direct impact on the care and well-being of animals in distress.

For those who wish to donate goods, the SPCA provides a wishlist of items essential to their operations.

Donors are asked to provide a receipt reflecting the value of the donated items to receive their tax certificate.

Here’s how you can make a difference:

• Monetary donations: Donate via EFT (First National Bank, Acc: 5111 271 6150, Branch: East Gate, Ref: Your email address) or through Payfast and Snapscan.

Multiple wishlists, including items for cleaning, kennels, office supplies, animal care, and maintenance, are available to choose from.

• Requesting your tax certificate: Once your donation is made, email proof of payment or your receipt to committee3@gbvspca.co.za to receive your Section 18A Tax Certificate.
