Jeppe High donates sandwiches to schools

The sandwiches were distributed to a local school’s weekly feeding scheme.

During the first quarter of the school year, Jeppe High School for Girls learners and parents donated 4544 sandwiches.

Mahdiya Hoosain, a Grade 11 learner, championed the Petal Project and got the school involved.

The school was also able to make a considerable donation of sanitary towels to yet another primary school in the area.

By providing these sanitary towels, Jeppe High School for Girls hopes to break down barriers that prevent young girls from fully participating in daily life.

This includes being able to attend school or engage in social activities without the worry of menstrual stigma or discomfort.
