Three scholars injured in Germiston transport crash

The children sustained minor injuries, and six others escaped unharmed after a collision involving a scholar transporter and a light vehicle in Elspark.

Three scholars were slightly injured this morning when a scholar transporter vehicle collided with a light sedan along Kingfisher Avenue in Elspark, Germiston. Six other scholars on board were unharmed.

The three were transported by private ambulance to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

City of Ekurhuleni Emergency Management Services spokesperson William Ntladi confirmed that traffic flow in the area was affected while emergency crews attended to the scene.

City traffic officials were also on site to conduct a thorough crash investigation following the incident.

Authorities remind motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution around the scene and to report any life-threatening emergencies to emergency services on 011 458 0911.
