When will SASSA pay in March? Grant dates confirmed

Payments will be made from March 3 to 5, with beneficiaries urged to stay alert against scams and report any suspicious activity.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the official social grant payment dates for March.

Grant beneficiaries can expect payments on the following dates:

• Older persons grant: Tuesday, March 3

• Disability grant: Wednesday, March 4

• Children’s grants and all other grants: Thursday, March 5

SASSA has previously reminded beneficiaries that there is no need to rush to withdraw their money on the first day of payment, as funds remain available in their accounts until needed.

Reminder: SASSA services are free of charge

In a media statement issued in September 2025, SASSA emphasised that all its services are provided free of charge.

SASSA national spokesperson, Paseka Letsatsi, previously warned beneficiaries to remain vigilant against individuals who claim to assist with social grant applications in exchange for payment.

“We want to emphasise that all our services are free of charge and not even our staff members are permitted to demand money from our clients for providing a service because they are paid already,” Letsatsi said at the time.

He urged beneficiaries not to entertain anyone approaching them in the streets or at their homes claiming to represent the agency and requesting compensation.

Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious activity to SASSA’s toll-free number on 0800601011 or the National Anti-Corruption Hotline on 0800701701.

Beneficiaries are advised to plan accordingly for the March 2026 payment cycle and to remain alert against fraudulent schemes.
