Two killed in crash on N3 near Leondale on-ramp
Collision between a light delivery vehicle and hatchback leaves two dead and one injured.
The EMPD Freeway Unit officers attended to a serious accident on the N3, just before the Leondale on-ramp.
Upon arrival, officers found a collision involving a white Ford LDV and a silver VW Polo hatchback, which resulted in two fatalities.

One passenger sustained serious injuries and was treated accordingly, while the driver of the Polo escaped without injuries. The deceased were transported to the Germiston mortuary.
The road remains affected, with only one lane currently open.
“Motorists are urged to approach with caution and be patient,” urged EMPD spokesperson Chief Superintendent Lieutenant Colonel Kelebogile Thepa.
