WATCH: Delville becomes next flashpoint for marchers
Tensions continue across parts of Ekurhuleni and Johannesburg, with developments in Delville and an ongoing protest in Malvern prompting increased police monitoring and traffic disruptions.
Several individuals were ordered to lie face down on the ground while police questioned them during an operation at a Delville property where they are believed to have been staying.
Police said the individuals are suspected of being linked to the disappearance of residents’ cellphones following alleged forced break-ins at the property.

The elderly property owner expressed frustration, describing the incident and the difficulties he has faced since the alleged break-ins.
Two people were reportedly injured after rubber bullets were fired during developments in Delville, Germiston.
One injured man was later taken to an ambulance for further medical assistance.


Malvern
In a separate development east of Johannesburg, in Malvern, at 16:49 according to the Gauteng Provincial Joint Operations Centre (JOC), a Gauteng Police Board initiative, protesters continued along Jules Street.

It is reported that that the location of the protest is at the intersection of Jules Street and Monmouth Street.
Law enforcement continues to monitor the situation, with motorists advised to expect traffic disruptions and to consider alternative routes where possible.
