“Evita Gen”, Germiston South, writes:
On Friday, August 2, a fellow resident at our residence, let’s call him John Doe as he, too, wishes to remain anonymous, visited the Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg for a small operation.
Suffering only the limited effects of a local anaesthetic he got on the 1.05pm Ekurhuleni bus, from Johannesburg back to Germiston.
The surgery area on his face was bleeding slightly along the way.
He was constantly dabbing at the source with a handkerchief and he didn’t notice that he had dropped his ID book, appointment card and hospital card, inadvertently leaving them behind on the bus.
To cut a long story short, thanks just must be extended, via the GCN, to bus driver Vusi Mnisi and dispatcher Charles van Rooyen (at the Germiston Bus Depot) who saw to it that our hapless friend was re-united with his precious documents in less than two hours after arriving back home.
Job well done Ekurhuleni bus service personnel, you deserve a big thank you.
