Speedy recovery by Primrose police

Thank you to the Primrose police.

Belinda van Niekerk, Gerdview, writes:

I just want to take the opportunity to say a special thank you to the Primrose police, Const S Makhubele and Const M Mabaso in particular, for their quick response and a job well done.

At 3.30am, on Friday, September 13, we were awakened by our dogs barking.

My husband, Juan, got out of bed and found that both his and my son’s motorbikes had been stolen.

He then noticed a man running out of our property.

I phoned the emergency services and explained what had happened.

During my phone call, my husband and son, Jay-Jay Kruger, in desperation went looking for their motorbikes on foot.

During their search they caught the attention of Consts Makhubele and Mabaso, who were travelling down the road towards our house.

My husband asked the officers to please help them look for the stolen motorbikes.

Not long after that the constables phoned me with the news that they had found the motorbikes.

Thanks to the two officers, the motorbikes were recovered within about half an hour of them being stolen.

I implore all residents be aware and alert.

When you hear dogs barking don’t simple ignore the noise, get up and see what is going on.

If we had ignored our dogs barking we would have been stuck without transport.

Who knows, by being alert and aware you might just be able to save someone’s life.

I also want to mention my brother and sister, to say thank you for their help in this matter.
