Things are happening in Primrose

Problems facing the residents of Primrose.

“Disgruntled resident”, Primrose Hill, writes:

I have been a resident of Primrose Hill for more than a decade now and things generally run well in our little suburb.

However, recently there have been some issues I believe are worthy of further investigation.

One of these issues is the “Bill Stewart Problem”.

The palisade fence that was built a few years ago (between Hilltop Road entrance and Arum Road Water Reservoir) is all missing.

This means that the plot of enclosed land between the Arum reservoir and Hilltop reservoir is no longer fenced off from the Bill Stewart Reserve.

This plot of enclosed land can now also be accessed through a big hole in the fence on the Arum Road side.

I’ve seen people taking their dogs for walks in that enclosed area and I’ve seen some women and children running there, too.

I don’t think this is safe considering that there is no longer a functional fence between the enclosed area and the rest of Bill Stewart.

People are still entering the area and this can’t be safe for them.

Another problem area in Primrose Hill is the little lane next to Ridgeway Road, which is very often used by prostitutes and their customers.

They park their cars in the driveway behind the water reservoir or next to the rocks adjacent to the water reservoir property.

The lawn is often littered with used condoms, tissues and even drug paraphernalia (I’ve seen hypodermic needle covers as well).

Though the area is cleaned by the council, the mess slowly builds again.
