Help animals by playing golf

Annual SPCA golf day fund-raiser set to take place.

The Germiston SPCA invites everyone to their annual golf day fund-raiser.

The fund-raiser will take place at the Germiston Golf Club on October 20 with tee-off times between 11.30am and 1pm.

Everyone is invited to enjoy a memorable day of golf with splendid prizes and help the SPCA to raise funds for their essential services.

It is becoming increasingly difficult for the SPCA to fund their outreach clinics where they treat animals of disadvantaged communities.

The need for funding and sponsorships is essential to enable them to provide their services to the animals of their community.

Sponsors of a full hole have the sole rights to that hole and may place advertising boards and banners.

Sponsors of half holes may also place advertising materials on other greens, fairways or tees.

Monetary donations will be gratefully accepted and advertising material may be placed at the venue and the donations will be acknowledged at the prize-giving.

The competition is a four-ball alliance Stableford, with two scores to count.

Prizes are awarded to teams of four, therefore, where possible, four of each prize will be sought and acknowledged at the event.

Donations of prizes are essential for the ongoing success of the event.

Competitors will also vie for prizes for nearest the pin, longest drive, and the longest day.

Players are of course essential and welcome.

The cost per player includes light refreshments (dinner), handouts and prizes.

The prize-giving will commence at 6pm, after the light dinner.
