Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA) will host their annual awards dinner on November 29, at Emperors Palace.
“This is to pay tribute and honour athletes who keep this organisation functional by performing to their level best and beyond, to keep us in that number one spot,” said CGA’s Mbalenhle Ngema.
“These are our top athletes who represent not only the province, but South Africa, too, as they travel to other countries to participate.
“They always make us proud.”
CGA thanks them for their hard work and amazing talent that they use to serve the sporting code.
Ngema also said that it is through these athletes that athletics stays alive, because their progress also encourages upcoming athletes in the development phase to work hard.
“Let us celebrate the mother of all sports by paying tribute to our athletes, for the pride, love and joy of athletics,” she said.
“Special guests at the dinner will include the Premier of Gauteng David Makhura, RJ Benjamin, the master of ceremonies, Vaylen Kirtley, and many more prominent people who are yet to confirm.”
