Excitement is starting to mount for one of Gauteng’s biggest horse racing events of the year, the Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile, which will take place at Turffontein Racecourse on November 2.

Among the 16 beneficiaries is Welamlambo Primary School Aftercare Centre in Tembisa and as part of the build-up to the big race day learners from the centre were recently treated to an outing to Turffontein.

The youngsters were full of excitement upon their arrival at the track before being treated to a delicious lunch, receiving gifts and playing on jumping castles and some playground equipment.
