Germiston Go Getters rule the netball courts

9 trophies were handed out to players during the day for individual performance, 5 trophies were awarded to Go Getters players.

The Germiston Go Getters (GGG) dominated the Region A opening netball league matches in Primrose on April 13.

The GGG competed in three divisions – U11, U13 and U15.

The club is registered with the Ekurhuleni Netball Association (ENA) and competes in the Region A league.

Local businesses and volunteers sponsored lunch and refreshments for all the players.

“Our players have set the tone for the league, which will run from April to August with the playoffs in September,“ said club manager Louise Mitchell.

“Our teams managed to top the log after the first week and our development is proud of the 15-0 game won by our U11 sides and our U13s who won all their games convincingly. Nine trophies were handed out to players during the day for individual performance and five were awarded to Go Getter players.

“The Germiston Go Getters, which is a new club on the scene, outdid themselves in their performance on the weekend,“ said Mitchell.

“Unomusa Mobani was awarded U11 best shooter, Hailey Jordaan U15 best centre, Bernice Ngonyama U11 best overall player, Danika U13 best shooter and Monique, receiving best overall player in U15,” said Mitchell.
